I was all ready to go back to work from a six day stretch off, had my uniform on and had just stopped at a convinence store to get my evening cup o joe when my phone rang with a number I didn't recognize. Normally, I don't answer numbers I don't know, but I did this time and as I was about to pull out of the parking lot, it was a nurse from work telling me that I was not needed, to go on standby. I was like, "WHAT"??? I just got my six month eval and I couldn't believe it. I was almost scared that after six months, this is what they start doing!!! But, I remembered I was told that this might happen when I was hired, so I figured that was bound to happen, but hopefully not too often. Anyhow, I got to go home for the night to spend it with Noah and Livi and of course, daddy, and we made the most of it. I made a fort for the kids and they loved it! Of course, Noah kept tearing it down by being too rowdy, but it was a lot of fun. After they went to bed, I got caught up on some much needed housework and the ever dreaded....filing. Here we believe in keeping everything just in case....past bills, 401k info, daycare stuff...you get the idea. But like I said, I hope standby doesn't happen too often (only when I want it too, ha ha ha).
