Time for a pet?

Noah really likes our cat Gypsy and we think he'd like a kitten, but he's still too young for that, so after much thought, we decided to get him a hamster. We got up early and after checking the store hours on the internet, we took off to Petsmart. When we got there we unloaded and got up to the doors and the store hours said it did not open until ten am. What a bummer. So we drove back home and by that time, Livi was ready for a nap, so we thought we'd try again after that. Our second trip was  more successful, but we decided to go check out Petland because Petsmart didn't have very many hamsters. Noah was in awe when he saw all the birds and animals. We decided to get two little hamsters for Bub and we took them home and got everything set up. Noah and Livi both loved them. Noah keeps pointing and saying "Kitty" which is his word for anything that moves, lol.

What a way to end the night!!

Well, last night at work was CRAZY!!! We had nine total triage patients and six of those came in within thirty minutes!!! And on top of that, four were in actual labor!!! Wow, it was a night! Anyhow, on my way home from work, I thought I'd galavant around town and look for new furniture since we're in desperate need of matching furniture these days. I was about to give up because there were no signs anywhere when all of a sudden, I came across one that said BIG INDOOR SALE. YaY! I looked around once I got there and saw a few things, but then I came across a doll house that was on the top shelf of the building. I was a little disheartened when I couldn't get it down, but then the nice guy that was watching me offered to get it down for me and I couldn't resist a helping hand. So, long story short, I took the dollhouse...but wait there's more!! As a clever saleing point, he pointed out some dollhouse furniture. There was a box of stuff, so I just figured I'd take my chances and get it. And all of this goodie box plus the dollhouse cost me an amazing twenty dollars!! How awesome is that? I will admit that it needs some fixin up, but it was a great price and Livi will love it when she gets older (or at least mommy will!!!). It isn't grand, but it's a great starter home and a new project!!!

What a day!!!

Watch out...picture overload!!!

Today was an awesome day with the family. We got up early and took the kids to the zoo. It was so fun. It was a bit windy, but perfect weather for a trip to the zoo. We looked at the flamingos and birds first and made our way around to Africa.

Sister all jacked up on mountain dew!!! LOL, she just liked playing with the bottle. What a sillyhead!

It was lunchtime and it smelled good, so we sat down for some chili cheese fries and a drink. We got Bub a little souviner bear cup and he loved it!!

We were just about to start back after we took a little bathroom break when Noah took off running. Dustin chased after him, but Noah tripped and landed head first on the pebbly ground. Our poor baby. We were debating on taking him to the ER or going home since he did land head first, but we thought we better just keep him up for a while and keep an eye on him. We took sister out of the stroller and put him in it. At first he was sad and not really spunky like he was, but he started pepping up the more we walked around.

Soon Noah was doing better and wanted out, so with a little hesitation, we let him run around. Everytime he would take off running, Dusty and I both almost had a panic attack.

Toward the end of our zoo trip, we came across some signs that said "Help us feed the wild birds" and there was an enclosure of birds. I wasn't going to go in there because we wouldve had to leave the stroller since they werent allowed in there. Finally I just took Bub. They had two big trees with tons of colorful birds and one big white bird in the middle.

They sold seed sticks for $1.00 but we had people giving them away as we walked in, so we took them. All you had to do was put your stick near the birds and arch your finger as a perch and theyd land on your hand. It was the most awesome thing at the zoo I've ever seen. They only do it on weekends, so we'll have to remember!! Noah was a little squimish, but all in all he liked it. I tried to get Dustin to go in, but he wouldn't. Bird Pooper!!!

On the way home, Noah was so worn out. That was so much fun and I can't wait to do it again!!!
Going, going, going...GONE!!!

Boot Scootin'

I forgot to show what we got Noah for his birthday. I finally took a picture. It's a little scooter that you ride on and I have to say, Noah loves it and it's one of the few toys that he's actually played with more than once. He brings it in the kitchen and goes from one side to the other. He busts it quite a bit, but he gets right back on. It's almost comical. One day when my kitchen's not a mess, I'll do a video of him riding it.

When we were shopping before his birthday, we also got him this racoon because he threw a fit when we tried to take it from him. He carries it around everywhere. It makes noise whenever you move it and as it turns out, it's actually a dog toy. The ironic thing of it all was that after we got home and got to looking at it, the tag said, "Keep away from children". I really don't see any harm in letting him play with it. I figure, if it's good enough for a dog, it's good enough for Bub. :)

Fun at the local DQ

After our Sunday nap, we thought it would be fun to take the kids to Dairy Queen for an ice cream and to let Bub run off some of his energy. It was a blast. Noah kept running all over the place and was just screaming and having fun. I even put Livi in the play area and she boot scooted around like she knew what she was doing.

After that, I thought it'd be fun to take Noah over to Brookshires (which is pretty close to DQ) and let him ride the kiddie rides. He had a great time, although he kept trying to switch horses. Even Livi had fun. I got this great picture of the little smile she does when she really likes something.

We ended up going to Tyler to see what other fun rides we could find and stopped at Super 1 where they had a horse ride and a helicopter ride. Noah was not having that. He screamed and fussed, so we went back home. Sometimes, it's just too much of a good thing.

Finally!!!

We noticed Livi had finally gotten a tooth around the end of January, but the baby is so particular about me looking at it, that I couldn't ever get a good picture of it. But here it is. She looks goofy, but that is a tooth right there!!! :)

Noah's 2nd Birthday Bash

Well, the day finally came for lil Bub to turn 2!! He actually turned 2 on the third, but we did his party today. We got to McDonalds a little before everyone arrived and as it turned out, there was already a party in the play area, so I set up shop in a little area by the door. We had set up just in time because another party had just walked in and sadly, they got the leftover corner. I felt a little bad for them because that might have been us. I put ballons on all the seats, got out my party table cover, set out the cake, forks, party hats, and goody bags, and waited for everyone to show up. There was quite a few people. Noah's little friend from daycare showed up with his grandma, my friend Kerri and her husband and little girl came, Dustin's family, my family...it was a great turn out. Noah seemed to have a blast and by the third present, he realized he was supposed to rip them open. My little boy is growing up so much and it's so amazing. Everyday I realize more and more how much I love him (and Livi). I'm not opposed to having another one because these kids are my life!! I love being a mommy! It's everything I ever thought it would be.
