A friend's baby gift

It's becoming a tradition to do a taggie blanket for my friends who are expecting a baby. This time tho, I added some big brother/sister shirts too. I hadn't done much applique, but I think it came out good. Olivia didn't want me to give up the blanket and I almost had to pry it out of her hands. Poor thing. I guess I'm going to have to make a big blankie for my little ones.

My's last supper

Tonight we had a semi wonderful evening among coworkers. We gathered together to say farewell to our friend My. She got another, more wonderful job opportunity and couldn't refuse the offer. We gathered together at Lago Del Pino. It was a wonderful spot on the lake, but awful service and not so great food. There was a good twenty five of us and not one of us would recommend the place to others except to say it had great ambiance.

Here's a pic of my good friend My (It's Swedish btw which I love!!!)

I will miss My greatly. The thing I will miss the most is her carefree attitude and free spirit. She had such a good outlook and rarely said anything that wasn't positive. She had such kindness and was a wonderful asset to our Labor and Delivery department. She was the sweetest and most kind person to me and I will miss that alot.

Nice lake...not so great service or food. :(

Summer trip to Galveston

So it was our annual trip to Galveston. We packed up and headed out and our first offical stop was none other than Buc-ee's! Poot was scared to take a pic with the beaver but Bub really liked him. He kept saying that he wanted to go see the monster, lol. :)

We headed over to Buc-ee's Outdoor to see the bears and the kids had fun. Livi was scared at first, but ended up liking the bears in the end.

I got attacked........they just didn't like the mamma!

When we finally got to galveston, we went to the beach but I didn't get any pics sadly. But I did get one last pic of the two babies sleeping from a long drive.

So Day 2 in Galveston was spent on the beach under a canopy that we got at Academy. Best $50 We ever spent!!! But it did not stop me from getting my usual burn of the summer. It seems that we all got a burn except Olivia...how is that??? I wish I had her skin!

Anyhow, after our long day at the beach, we took a nap and didn't wake up till six the next morning!!! How crazy is that? But we were refreshed and ready for the day so first thing was taking a trip on the ferry!

Then lunch at Fishtales. The Pleasure Peer was opening for Memorial Day Weekend and we got to see firsthand the rides and stuff being tested. I'm almost scared to think of how much it will cost to try it out. I'm sure I will be letting you know in a year or two. The kids will be big enough to ride hopefully!

Bub and I making funny faces!

We went for a walk and Bub insisted on picking me flowers. I love that! I feel so special that he wants to pick mama flowers like I did for my mom. :)

Poot and Bub picked flowers for me. :)

Bub wanted to give them a COLD drink of water since it was so hot!

Another sweet night of brotherly, sisterly love!

Mother's Day

So, I look forward to the little cards that the kids make me for Mother's Day at Daycare. This year I got a special treat....I got a flower too!

Another special thing is the sweet note from Noah AND his teacher, Ms. Chealsey. How cute is that?

We took my mom dinner that day too. I really should try to get out that way more.

Best Friends

So my friend Abigail has two sons, Joe and Elijah. Joe is a little older than Noah, but those two are little buddies. We've only been able to get them together a few times and I wish we could do it more but Abigail's and my schedule is opposite. Anyhow, I watched the boys one day while her and her husband went out and we had tons of fun. Noah and Poot love Joe and had fun looking at baby Elijah. Can't wait for another visit from these guys.
