A friend's baby gift

It's becoming a tradition to do a taggie blanket for my friends who are expecting a baby. This time tho, I added some big brother/sister shirts too. I hadn't done much applique, but I think it came out good. Olivia didn't want me to give up the blanket and I almost had to pry it out of her hands. Poor thing. I guess I'm going to have to make a big blankie for my little ones.

For a dear friend

So, my friend Anna had a little boy not long ago and I had originally started making a quilt, but it didn't quite turn out like I had planned so I scrapped it and never made anything. I couldn't let poor Judah go without a gift, so I made him one of my classic taggie blankets and embroidered his name on it. Anna loved it and so did Judah. I really enjoyed making these for her.

I also made some a while back and decided to give them to my other friend and coworker's daughter who just had a baby. Arent' these cute too? I previously posted instructions, so if you'll click here, you can learn how to make them too!

Taggie Blankets

So, ever since I bought my sewing machine with my Scentsy profit, I have been on a sewing kick if you haven't noticed. I've been having alot of fun. I remember always watching my mom as a child and tho I can't quite remember what she sewed, I know she sewed alot. I wanted to make the kids a taggie blanket since they're so obsessed with blankies. I got some really soft material from Hobby Lobby which was crazy expensive, but hey, it's a fun project regardless. Anyhow, here's the turtorials on how to make a taggie blanket. Before we get to the turtorial, here's some cute pics of Livi doing what she does best...playing with shoes! I swear my daughter has a shoe fettish. My shoes, her shoes, Bub's shoes....they're all hers. :)

Bring on baby Elijah!

So, my friend Abigail at work is having a little boy who will be her second and last child. :( A few of us at work have set up a special shower on the 13th at Olive Garden). I wanted to make it special, so I took out my sewing machine for the third time (my husband bet that I wouldn't use it more than twice...ha ha, I win) and made a taggie blanket and burp rags for my dear friend. I also made a big brother/little brother shirt and onsie that turned out great. I really have grown fond of Abigail and really like her alot. :) I can't wait for her to see all these goodies!!
