Farewell my friend!

Since having kids, I have let some stuff slip by the wayside. At one time, I had two ten gallon fishtanks and a thirty three gallon tank for our turtle. I got rid of all of it except the turtle tank. Today, I decided to set turtle free because I just can't keep up with his tank like I used to before kids. I felt a little bad, but once we got to the lake and he went in the water, I knew we had done the right thing. So long my little turtle friend, we will sure miss you. :)

Splash Park FUN!!!

Last night, my friend at work told me about a splash park in Tyler at Faulkner Park. I had heard about the park before, but didn't know they had this splash park. So, right before work I got a call from working offering me stand by and of course, I took it. So I thought we'd go check out this splash park since we lucked out and had time. It was so awesome! There's was even a little playground area too. Noah had so much fun. Livi was a little skiddish, but she had fun too. I know where we're going to be hanging out this summer!

Poor Bub

Well, I was all ready for work yesterday and Dusty had just got home with the kids. I was fixing dinner and Dusty was going to check the mail when I heard Noah cry real loud. I knew this cry was different somehow, so I ran right to him. He was holding his head, so I leaned him forward and there was blood all over the back of his head. At the same time Dusty came in and I told him to grab a towel from the kitchen. After a while we decided to get him to the bathroom so I could wash the blood off and see how bad it was. It turned out to be pretty deep. We decided to take him to the ER while Dusty stayed with Livi. Thankfully I got in quick and I got the most wonderful doctor that I know to be down in the ER where I work.

It was so funny...the doctor and three big guys came in for my one sweet little boy. After the staple went in, they let go and Noah practically jumped into my arms. I have never felt more like a mama.

3rd Mother's Day

Today was my official 3rd mother's day. I woke up with the sound of Livi crying, so we went to the kitchen to get a bottle and Noah and Dusty were waiting with "homemade" McDonalds (Steak, egg, and cheese bagel, which I love!) and tea of course. And beside that, a beautiful bouquet of pink and white roses with the most beautiful mothers day card ever!!! How wonderful! Oh how I love my family. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and two sweet babies. What would I do without them? Where would I be without them? I just can't believe how increadibly lucky I am to have them in my life. And in case you're wondering, One of my nicknames is maw maw (see the card!).

After we all had a nap, I took my mom out to lunch at Cheddars. My mom is simple it's so hard to buy gifts for her because she doesn't need anything, so a meal is the perfect thing for her. She of course had to bring me roses, and I thought that was just the greatest thing.

Then we went to cheddars and had a nice lunch. I love my mom so much. Unfortunetly I didn't get a pic of my mom this day, but I thought I'd share a few of my own to honor her...

Splash Fun

So, last night we went to toys r us to get a splash fun toy for the kids since they both love water now. Livi for the first year hated water, but now she loves it thank goodness. Before the kids woke up, I put together this splash table and as soon as it got warm enough for a little splash time, we took them outside to play. They both LOVED it. It was so much fun watching them both play. Gosh I love my babies more everyday. They are just growing up so fast and both have such great personalities!! Noah is the perfect example of an older child. He's always trying to entertain us so that we keep the attention on him (don't think I haven't noticed, bub bub). And Livi is the child who does no wrong and never gets a spanking. I feel bad sometimes, but that's how it is. It's crazy. I never believed that birth order had any signifigance, but apparently it does. What happens when Livi becomes the middle child??? Hmmm.

Spaghetti Bag Baby

So, tonight I cooked spaghetti and got the brilliant idea to have an easy clean up afterwards! I took two bags and cut out arm and leg holes and it worked like a charm! No mess!

Goofing off

I still have party favor bags from Noah's party and somehow the kids keep getting ahold of them and playing with the toys inside (I think daddy has something to do with that). They are both so silly.
