Easter Funday

Well, we went over to Dusty's sister's house for Easter Sunday Lunch. There was a wonderful feast which was ham, potatoe salad, macaroni, baked beans, and rolls. It was all very good. The kids were all excited about going hunting and finally the big moment came and everyone was anxiously waiting for the eggs to be hidden...

The little ones got to go first against the big ones protest. Finally the big moment came and everyone was running around like crazy looking for eggs.

Noah and Olivia had fun. This was their third easter egg hunt counting day care (this year), so they were pros this time. Livi got into her candy and it was dribbling down her chin, it was so funny. Hidden among the eggs was some confetti eggs, so everyone was smaking everyone in the head with them. I think we all got at least one confetti smack down at some point.

We went inside to check out the loot and see who got the prizes. Noah ended up getting three prize bags. Olivia didn't get any, so it leveled it out.

We had a great time. I can't wait to do it again!!! I'd have to say it was the best Easter so far.

Eggtastic!!

Tonight after Livi went to bed, Noah and I made up some eggs and set out to decorate them. I got the kitty and bug kit because Noah James LOVES both of these things and I figured he'd go crazy when he saw all the stickers, which he did! :) Anyhow, this is actually both of our's first time making eggs. I don't ever recall doing it when I was little (kinda sad, huh). I added the vinegar for "more vibrant colors" as the box said, but it just didn't make them as bright as I had hoped, but it was still fun. Noah was so proud of his eggs. He sat there and put the stickers on one by one. He would point to which sticker he wanted and I'd hand it to him....so cute.

After our eggs were all decorated, I got the cake I had made earlier and iced it. I made up a batch of marshmellow fondant before we started the eggs, so I got it out and started playing with it. My original
idea was to have a scene of the easter bunny hiding eggs. I had planned on making a fondant tree and maybe some logs so that bunny had a place to hide the eggs. Well, the fondant didn't work out so well, so I made a basket and filled it with eggs and placed it by the bunny. Maybe next year I'll get more vigorous with it! :) Noah was very interested in helping me so I gave him a little fondant to play with and he was busy for a while. I love that he's getting big enough to do little projects with. He's getting to be my right hand man.

Here's the finished project. Hope every likes it at Easter Lunch tommorow.

The bathroom light was on a timer....hmm, kinda gheto

The air condition plug looked to be a fire hazard, hmmm....

Early Easter

Today, we went over to Dusty's mom's family's side to hunt easter eggs. Thank goodness I got off early so I could go home and get a little shut eye. It's always a little weird when we go to that side because up until I got prego, we really didn't go over there. It feels a little weird and everytime I have every intention to talk, but I freeze up and I don't say anything and it makes me look stuck up. Man, I've gotta work on that.

Our niece Kaylen and Noah

Nanny and Olivia

Finally after two years, our first official family photo!!!

Noah would not leave the "hee haw" alone...so cute

Sneaking a peek at the easter bunny hiding the eggs

Growing bored waiting, lol

Noah got distracted right off the bat by a real bunny

Look at her sweet little "basket". Just big enough for her.

Our nephew Kaden and Bub.

Two sweet Olivias!!! Mine trying to steal the other one's eggs!

Taking a count!

Tryin to get a group shot....look at livi's face in this one!

Still tryin....

Such a cute little smile!!!

Needless to say, out of about ten group shots, all of them had some sort of flaw, but it was fun trying to get that many kids to look in the same direction at the same time!

Another Lime Story...

Livi loves lemons, but this time when we went out, we gave her a lime. I just can't get over her expressions. Just like mommy. Priceless....

Did we forget something???

I had bought Livi a lil cupcake for her birthday, but due to the chaos of everything, we didn't get to actually sit down and celebrate her birthday till today. I stripped her down to her diaper and we had fun watching her tear it up. Dusty kept trying to get some for Bub, but Livi was not going to give it up. I think this has to be my favorite picture of her yet.

I made a little video too. Hope you like it.

Free day!

It's getting to be our usual thing to go hang out at Target on the Saturday I'm off. We took the kids to get our usual breakfast of berry yogurt and pretzel with cheese, followed by a bag of popcorn (who can resist fresh popcorn??). We gave Livi Mountain Dew for the first time and it was priceless, as always...

It's very interesting to watch the people come in and out of Target. As a known people watcher, it's one of my favorite past times. After doing our people watching, we walked around and enjoyed the sites. Noah did a pecular little hippity hop as he went through the store. Never seen this one before...

After buying Noah a huge ball he had to have, we headed toward the Children's Park my friend My had told me about. It's not so much a part, but a memorial for children who have died too young. Since having my miscarriage, this hit home, but what a wonderful way to remember those lost. We got so many good pictures of the kids.

Noah loved sitting by the water

"Look mama...water"

Scaring mama to death by climbing to the top. Thank goodness daddy was there.

Look at sister's whispy old man hair

My babies' daddy

Yes, that is bird poop on my butt! LOL.

Having sooo much fun!!!

Testing the water

After we took a much needed nap, I made up something called Sidewalk Paint, which I got off the Disney Family Fun App. It was the coolest thing ever and I think I had more fun than Noah. The recipe is equal parts cornstarch to cold water and add food coloring till you get a color you like. Take your paint brushes and go out side on the driveway and paint like Picasso!!! It dries and looks exactly like you used sidewalk chalk. I can't wait to do it again!!!
