Not again

I am so sick of being sick. I woke up yesterday with a stuffy nose...didn't think much about it and now I'm sitting here sipping on my theraflu, hoping that I can sleep through the night. Is it just because I'm pregnant that I get sick all the time or has my immune system somehow crashed and I catch everything that is known to man. I have a cough, stuffy nose, sore throat, and a headache. Oh did I mention that I think I'm getting an earache.

The last two days my mom and sisters have been over here cleaning up a storm. They are doing my nesting for me I supose you could say.

Anyhow, I would love to write more, but I feel like pure crap, so I will catch up more on another day. :)

Baby Sprinkle

Today was my baby sprinkle. We're having a "Sprinkle" since I've already got all the major stuff, all I need is a few things for baby Olivia. I went to bed tired and woke up tired. I tried to help out, but my sisters, mom, and Dustin kept telling me to relax. I had a few minor contractions cause I was trying to do so much, but nothing major. Crystal, Mary, and Mom did such a wonderful job being hostesses. Crystal did the most and she has three kids! How awesome is that? She always goes above and beyond what she should be doing. It turned out great. The living room and kitchen sparkled it was so clean and the baby shower spread of goodies was great. We had Turkey, Ham, and Chicken Salad Sandwiches, Chips and cheese, onion, and spiniach dip, and the most awesome strawberry punch. Everyone ohhhed and awwwed over everything. It was great.

Me and Bub spending time together before baby Olivia arrives....won't be too long now.

I got lots of great goodies, mostly cute little girl clothes and hairbows, which I am totally in love with. But here's a few pictures of my favorite things I got from this shower...

This is a centerpiece that Crystal, Destiny, and Doc Doc made for Olivia. Isn't it awesome?

This wonderful Diaper Cake was made by my crafty sister Crystal.

A little green stripped outfit with a cute bird came from my cousin Jean.
"I'm the little Sister" onesie came from Dustin's Granny.
The elephant lovie came from Dustin's mom Barbara (SOOO CUTE and it matched the invitations).
The little brown and pink girraffe onesie came from Dustin's cousin Michelle and family.
The bows and coursage came from my sister Crystal...she thinks of everything. I feel just awful that I forgot to put the coursage on.
And last but not least, The turtle toy holder was what I bought with money from Dustin's Aunt Rosemary.

Officially on Maternity Leave

Well, it's official...I got put on maternity leave because of my swollen legs and feet. The nurse wants me on bedrest and wants me to drink plenty of water for the swelling. Bedrest is not easy when you have to pee every twenty minutes, let me tell you.

My friend Amy at work seemed a bit bummed that I was going on leave early. She and I are constantly bitching at each other about something (like sisters), whether it's how cold or hot it is in the room or how goofy one of us acts about something (usually she's making fun of me). I will miss the ol girl, but I'll see her soon enough. I'll miss my other friend Jennifer alot too. She was on vacation, so she doesn't know yet that I have left early. Jennifer has been great and gave me tons of clothes for the Bub and is just an all around great person. Of course I will miss the other silly characters that I work with up at Rusk State, but these two I will miss the most.

I'm kinda glad it happened like this because now I will be able to relax a bit at home and get a few things done before the baby comes. Well...I won't be getting things done, but my family will be helping me. My sister Crystal said she will help me get everything situated next week and Dustin is being great and constantly asking me if I need anything. That is one awesome benifit of being pregnant, everyone waits on you. I'm living it up because I know once Olivia gets here and everything gets back to normal, I won't get to live so lavishly anymore. But hey, I'm enjoying every minute of it right now! :) Even Bub is helping me out....

One of those days....

Noah has officially figured out that the toliet paper roll can be piled onto the floor to make a cool pile of tissue for him to play in!!! Thank goodness it didn't get made into a pile, but he's got the spinning thing down. What is so interesting about toliet paper to toddlers that makes them go for it as soon as the bathroom door opens? I would like to say he hasn't figured out that there's water in the toliet, but he did. And in went his shoe to test the theory.

I love that little Bub Bub, but some days he just wears me out. I hope (and pray) that after I have Olivia, my energy level will somehow return to a normal range and I can zip and zoom like I used to. But then I remember.....

There's going to be TWO of THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What are we going to do???

I think Dustin sensed my exhaustion tonight because he came and ripped Noah off (not litterally...In my imagination, Noah and I are velcro pieces and he's my little velcro baby because he always seems to attatch to me at the hip) and played with him while I relaxed and zoned out in front of the tube. I love watching Dustin play with Noah. He can make him laugh so much and it's amusing to see what they do. Tonight was "baby curls". Dustin takes Bub in his arms and does baby curl exercises and Noah loves it. Everytime he would bring a "baby curl" up to his chest, he'd say "BABY CURL" real gruff and it'd make Bub laugh even more. Of course, this only lasted so long because Bub had to come back and stick to me until bedtime.

I feel just awful for complaining that my child is always on me, but being pregnant and working all day wears me out. And when we do get home, I can't put Bub down because he wants only mama to hold him. But, I don't get to spend that much time with him and I love the time we do get to spend together. Once I get done baking this baby I am really looking forward to getting my hormones back in balance and being able to do the things I used to do before pregnancy. Considering I've been pregnant almost two years straight is exhasting to think about in itself.

It's spring time!

My coworker is out for the week, so I'm taking over her treatment team. Despite actually having to work again, it's nice to have something to do. I had to become a "floater" on Feb 8th because my boss wants to make sure that I don't leave any loose ends if I do go into labor early. It kinda sucks because I don't really do nothing, but at the same time, it's nice because there's not any real responsibility. This week is a different story though and it's weird to get back into a routine.

Dustin went and got our taxes done today. We're actually going to get a little something back, isn't that amazing? We're thinking about getting a pool this year and putting a fence up in the back yard. The only concern is the moles and the upkeep. We have never been that great at keeping up our house, but I want to start trying for the kids. We're going to turn over a new leaf hopefully and start being "responsible homeowners"...yeah, we'll see.

Bub smiling because he's a big boy and can do it himself!

Wow, at the current moment Dustin is mowing the yard for the first time this spring! We both thought it would be funny for me to mow and be a big nine month pregnant woman attempting to mow the yard for all the neighbors to make fun of, but decided to let Dustin do it.

Another Boo Boo

Why does one boo boo seem to follow another? Well, that has yet to be figured out. Poor Noah was playing with his toys and took off in a wild attempt to gather more toys and throw them around the living room, when all of a sudden he tripped and landed on his toy "box". The toy "box" is actually a plastic green container that serves as a toy box and another obstacle to keep him out of the kitchen. Anyhow, he caught the top part of his nose right on the edge and a toy must have gotten the outside corner of his eye too. Poor thing looks just plain awful. I can baby proof this house all I want to, but he's still going to find a way to fall and injure his beautiful little face. It's a good thing boys are so resilient. We had a good day though aside from that. Dustin had went to help a friend move, so it was just me and the Bub. He was in a pretty good mood for the most part. At one point he found a box to play in which kept him busy for most of the day!!!

Noah playing in his toy box AFTER his boo boo.

Noah found a box to play with and kept himself busy for about thirty whole minutes!

I gave Bub some pudding and he just looked so darn cute. I couldn't resist taking a picture of my messy son!

Mommy time with Bub

Noah is still feeling a bit under the weather, but he has not had anymore fever. We accidentally bopped his little nogin on the chimney when we were getting him out of the car, so he was feeling bad from the boo boo tonight (see the bandaid on his head). We felt so awful, but he's a trooper and kept on going. He was wanting to lay in my lap this afternoon and I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of him loving on momma. I kept telling him that his little sissy was in my tummy and that soon she would be here to keep him company. Of course, he doesn't understand a word I'm saying, but he'll soon catch the drift when she gets here finally...Poor thing doesn't know what's coming.

My sick little man

Dusty called me after I got back to work from being at the doctor and told me that Daycare called yet again and said Noah had fever. So, due to me having our car, I left work (which really looks good because I took off yesterday too) and hurried to get the little Bub. I took him by to see daddy and then Bub and I went home to take a nap. He finally woke up after a few hours, and started running fever again. He acts fine for a while and then he whines, so something is wrong with him. We loved on him and sent him back to bed after his bath. I hate when my little one is sick. I really enjoyed taking care of him today though. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be a stay at home mom. I also wonder if it would even be possible considering I am the one with the constant income coming in. With the business, it's iffy and varies from week to week. Anyhow, I'm sure it's another pipe dream that I get into my head from time to time. Nothing major happended at the doc. They didn't check me like I thought because I'm not quite 37 weeks pregnant. My next appt is next Friday, so we'll see what happens then!

A night without Noah

We went to the Taste of Tyler tonight with our friends Vernon and Cindy Rivers. It was awesome. There was so many restraunts there to try and I believe I almost ate a whole strawberry pie from Sadler's. We decided not to take Noah with us because little Bub likes to get into everything and run around, but we really started to miss him about halfway through the dinner. It's amazing how much you love such a little person so much that your heart feels empty without them. We filled up and said goodbye to our friends and hurried to Dustin's parents house to get baby Bub. He was in such a good mood when we got there and he was happy to see us. Sadly, on the way home he fell asleep and was out for the night. I hate that we missed playing with Noah tonight, but I am looking forward to being with my little love tommorow night.

On another note...Olivia is still kicking up a storm. I'm so worried that the epidural won't work again, but I know that all that pain will be worth it to see my little baby girl finally. I go to the doctor tomorrow and they're going to start checking my ho hum to see if Olivia's ready. I'm so not looking forward to that.

Second Try

Well, I'm going to try this blog thing again. I feel bad that I didn't keep up with my last blog. I can't even remember the name of the last blog!

I got to be off from work today for Texas Independance Day. Working for the state has it's advantages and you get off for every holiday known to man pretty much. Dustin and I were supposed to go to a movie and have a romantic day without the Bub, but that got blown due to a problem with the car. No matter how planned out something is, something always seems to wreck our plans. But I supose that happens to everyone (or so I'd like to think). We borrowed Dustin's dad's truck, so at least we lucked out there. Well, we're about to attempt to watch a movie... that is if Bub will cooperate.
