Oh no...

I hate to admit it, but my Livi has probably got a long, hard road ahead of her because....she has man brows!!! Those eyebrows look like fuzzy catipillars. Oh my poor lil girl. No wonder people think she looks like a boy!

Sillyness

Lil Bub is so messy. We gave him mandarin oranges and he managed to get it all over his lil face. That's part of what being a kid is all about, I suppose...

Setting up camp

I was all ready to go back to work from a six day stretch off, had my uniform on and had just stopped at a convinence store to get my evening cup o joe when my phone rang with a number I didn't recognize. Normally, I don't answer numbers I don't know, but I did this time and as I was about to pull out of the parking lot, it was a nurse from work telling me that I was not needed, to go on standby. I was like, "WHAT"??? I just got my six month eval and I couldn't believe it. I was almost scared that after six months, this is what they start doing!!! But, I remembered I was told that this might happen when I was hired, so I figured that was bound to happen, but hopefully not too often. Anyhow, I got to go home for the night to spend it with Noah and Livi and of course, daddy, and we made the most of it. I made a fort for the kids and they loved it! Of course, Noah kept tearing it down by being too rowdy, but it was a lot of fun. After they went to bed, I got caught up on some much needed housework and the ever dreaded....filing. Here we believe in keeping everything just in case....past bills, 401k info, daycare stuff...you get the idea. But like I said, I hope standby doesn't happen too often (only when I want it too, ha ha ha).

Handsome lil' Bub

Noah looks so cute in the morning. He just has this bleary eyed look to him that I find adorable, if not downright handsome...

Monday Fun Day

Since daycare was closed today, we thought we'd take the kids to McDonalds to play and then go to the zoo. We got the kids ready, packed the baby bag, put the stroller in the garage, and opened the garage...it was misting and dreary outside!! Bummer. So, even though the zoo was out of the question, we went on to Mickey D's. Noah has never been in the playground there, so with fingers crossed, we took his little shoes off and showed him the entrance. Luckily there were some other little girls for Bub to play with and they showed him how to climb. Unfortunatlly, he got up to the top and the little girls went on down, do he didn't know what to do. The mom of the girls was trying to tell the oldest one to take his hand and show hiim where to go, but by that time poor Bub was crying and scared, so Dusty had to save the day and go up and get him. I luckily captured it all on the camera...I know that sounds bad that I was taking pictures while my child was balling, but I was hoping he would figure out how to get down. After we got him down, he stayed at the entrance and jumped around, but never went back up to the top. It was an experience. :)

"These girls are the coolest!"
"Hello there momma!"
Bub's meltdown...
Daddy came to the rescue!!!
Sister's entertainment was taking off her socks and eating them. :)

Finally off

Well, I feel like I've been working nonstop. I worked three on, then helped Dusty at the shop my two days off, then worked three more days in a row. I like to work my days in a row, but sometimes by the end of it I'm so tired and cranky. But at least I have six days off in a row and can relax. We had thought about going out of town this weekend, but we didn't ask Dusty's parents in time. We don't really have too many people to watch the kids so we don't get to go to many places unless we take the kids. But, I love those little boogers, so it's allright. I am just so thankful to have Dustin to help me because I can't imagine being a single parent and have to go at it alone with two kids.

Anyhow, I got my invitations printed (I went with the second one) and made up some little "Year in Review" photos of Noah to go with the invitations. They came out so cute!  My little Bub is growing up so much. Every day gets better and better because he's learning so much. There are some moments when he's a total butt, but he makes up with it by being so cute and charming with his sweet little words he says and his little dances he does. I just love my little Bub.

Tomorow is MLK day and the daycare is closed, so we get to spend one more day with the kids!!! Hopefully I'll get to do some laundry soon because we are on the verge of a laundry outage!! :)

Snow Day!!!

Can you believe it? The first snow of the year and hopefully not the last. The kids had fun looking outside and I took Noah out to play in the snow for a minute. We didn't play too long because he has a cold, but he had a lot of fun.

Do we have a winner???

After looking at the pictures I took the other day, I got to thinking alot about the one with Bub blowing the "wishing flower" and I came up with this...is it a winner? Still not sure as to where and when exactly, but I think this is the one!! I think I'll still do a "year in review" and send it with the birthday card, but I love my idea for his card. Oh how I love my little Bub. :)

Attempt #2 at Birthday Pictures

Well, I had the bright idea to take Noah James to the local park and try to get some pictures there for his birthday invitations. My sister Crystal was in the area, so she and her kids came too.

It started off well, Noah was playing with the swing and spining around with it, then he played with his cousins, then I got the bright idea to get Bub up on the jungle-jim with slides and stairs and big gaping holes. BIG mistake. It went ok until he got really high and I noticed there was an opening so that kids could slide down the pole (like a fire fighter). I liked to have had a fit. I freaked out a little. I flew up the stairs, swooped him up, and got him down. He was so mad. I think it's going to be a while longer before he is big enough to get on that again.
When we got home, I took a few more, but it wasn't what I was wanting. I did however, get a really great picture of Bub blowing a "wish flower". He had fun raking the leaves and talking to the neighbors dog, so all in all, it was fun.

Attempt #1 at Birthday Pictures

It's time for a party!! Noah's birthday is coming up in Febuary and I'm so excited to get his 2nd birthday plans going! I love to make my own birthday cards, so I have an idea to take Noah's picture while he is playing in leaves. We waited too late to leave the shop today and I lost out on using the light. I thought I'd take a few pictures anyway so I could see how Bub was gonna do with leaf play. He had a good ol time, but it got dark too soon, so we didn't get to do it very long. Olivia on the other hand was not a fan of the leaf pile. I guess I'll have to wait for a day when it's sunny so I can get some good pictures out of it. I need to read my manual again and figure out the trick that makes the background blurry and the person clear. That seems to be what a lot of photographers are doing these days.

So cute

Livi has learned how to do the little "Indian Call". Bub also learned how to do it by watching sister. My lil babies are getting so big!
