How time flys!

Well, can you belive that it's been a month since I started at Mother Frances?!?!? I really like it up there at work. On day shift, it's very fast pace, but I have really caught on quickly. I think I caught on a little too well because they wanted me to learn how to do baby charts and I got cross trained on the Mother/Baby unit. Tommorow is my last day on the day shift and Sunday I start working nights. I'm excited, but a little scared. I got to know all the nurses and doctors on the day shift, and now I'm going to have to work with all new people. Boy oh boy. I was so shocked the other day when I was eating lunch in the breakroom. A few of us were eating and a nurse that hasn't really warmed up to me started chatting me up. She ended up giving me the greatest compliment. She said that I had really learned the job quick and I was doing great. She said that she had been there long enough to see a lot of people in that job and they had never picked it up as quick as I had. A scrub tech I like was in there and she aggreed. How awesome is that? Some people really surprise you sometimes. Needless to say, I have a new perspective on this nurse.

On another note, Olivia is really growing up. Within the past month she has had so many firsts. She can hold her own head up, grab toys, try to eat her feet, started sleeping through the night, rolling over, and started laughing and talking out loud. She is going to be walking before we know it. When I get home, I usually sit in my comfy chair with her and feed her while Noah and Dusty play. When I get done feeding her, I usually put her in the floor and we all take turns trying to make her laugh. Noah is really warming up to her. We'll be burping her or holding her and he'll come over and give her a hug or a "head butt" kiss. For some odd reason, when we tell Bub to give us kisses, he'll lean his head forward and slam his forehead into your cheek. He's so silly. He has really been jabbering up a storm. He can say "nanner" for bananna, "siter" for sissy, "nigh, nigh" for nite nite, and "kityi" for kitty. Other than that, I have no idea what he's saying. Our little one's are growing up so much. Maybe it's time to start thinking about another one...just joking (or AM I?!? :) ).

Olivia has such a sweet little smile!

No more canned spaghetti for Bub...way too much sauce!
