Before Noah's birthday I got him a little birthday badge and sent him to daycare with mini cupcakes and punch. He was very excited. When he got to daycare, all the kids saw the cupcakes and Noah told them that it was his birthday and they all started telling him happy birthday. It was very cute.
After daycare, I started getting things ready for the big day on Saturday. Noah of course had to help, so I let him put the candy in the piniata.
On the big day, my sister came over and helped me do the last minute touches. We had taco bites, strawberries stuffed with cheesecake, cream chees pinwheels, and ham/turkey cream cheese pickle rollups. I also made cupcake cones which I decorated with regular can frosting. I'm telling you, Pinterest is my best friend when it comes to ideas for parties and stuff. :)
I thought I'd do a little something special with his cake....it was a little lopsided, but it was what was on the inside that counted.
All the kids got a goody bag gave to them by Noah. Inside was several fun things...one of them was bubbles. So we all went outside and blew a few bubbles while everyone finished up snacking
Finally the big moment came to blow out his candle. Noah got really shy when we all started singing to him.
And here's the surprise inside!!! :) Also courtesy of Pinterest!
Noah had a blast opening all his presents.
After presents we all went outside again to hit the piniata.
Noah and his friend discussing dividing the candy. :)
Noah was either filthy or sticky. I couldn't tell which, but he was having too much fun to ruin it by washing him off.
All and all, it was a wonderful birthday. We all had a lot of fun!
